Polka Dots~

Hmm....i think i'm starting to get obsess with nail art~ Recently i've been watching a Japanese tv show which involves beauty and fashion. And as we all know, nail art is getting popular throughout the world (especially asia) and it is now part of an icon for the girls today. I realised that in the Japanese fashion nowadays, nail art is becoming part of the essentials! (Nail art is now becoming just as important as make-up!!)
I have always adored acrylic nail art since young. However as i used to play violin, my nails have always been short, so i never really bothered playing about with my nails~ But recently since I quit violin, i decided to grow my nails again and have some fun with it.
This is what i ended up having on my nails :)

I took some photos while painting it, so hope you will like my wee nail tutorial inspired by marshmallows~

First apply a thin coat of clear nail varnish. This helps to protect ur nails and it is also easier to remove the  colours afterwards :)

Then apply 2 coats of white nail varnish on the 1st (thumb), 3rd and 4th nail. Remember wait till the first coat dry before applying the second coat~

Again apply 2 coats, but this time apply pink nail varnish on 2nd (index) and 4th (pinky) nail. Repeat the same process on the other hand.

After  pour a small amount of white varnish into a small container.

Take a kirby (aka. bobby pin) and stretch it apart. This makes it easier for you to create cute polka dots on your nails. Using one end of the kirby dip it into the small amount of white nail varnish.

Using the kirby, gently touch the pink nails to create big cute polka dots. The contrast between pink and white creates a cute girly style and it is suitable for any style of clothing. You could also apply pink dots on white nails, however in my opinion i think it will just look too much. (Less is more)

Finally, apply a top coat over it. Also remember to remove all the extra nail vanish on your skin and near the edges of your nails. Make sure its nice and clean ;)
